Are you having a woodsy wedding? With gorgeous venues like The Grove and Griffith Woods nestled throughout Sonoma County, I can't say that I blame you! I have recently worked with different couples who wanted to utilize redwood trees in their letterpress wedding invitation designs.

Melanie and Patrick hand-painted white trees on their wedding favors: tall brown bottles of home-brewed Belgian beer! This was a couple after my own heart. We decided to turn their painting into a digital file and have copper plates made for hot foil stamping. The redwood tree was featured on their invitation and as a divider on their RSVP postcard. I especially loved the rustic kraft paper.

Letterpress printing tip: the only way to achieve opaque designs on darker papers, like white on kraft, is with hot foil stamping. It can be more expensive than regular letterpress printing, but is worth every penny!

Forest green redwood trees are deeply impressed into 100% cotton paper for Taylor and Kaitlin's wedding invitation. The blind-impressed, topographic background makes this invitation unforgettable.

Creating beautiful, custom letterpress wedding invitations designed to fit your unique style is my specialty. Don't hesitate to reach out if you need help planning your woodsy Sonoma County wedding. Our event planners, photographers, florists, and letterpress printers have plenty of ideas!
