Melanie and Patrick hand-painted white trees on their wedding favors: tall brown bottles of home-brewed Belgian beer! This was a couple after my own heart. We decided to turn their painting into a digital file and have copper plates made for hot foil stamping. The redwood tree was featured on their invitation and as a divider on their RSVP postcard. I especially loved the rustic kraft paper.
Letterpress printing tip: the only way to achieve opaque designs on darker papers, like white on kraft, is with hot foil stamping. It can be more expensive than regular letterpress printing, but is worth every penny!
Forest green redwood trees are deeply impressed into 100% cotton paper for Taylor and Kaitlin's wedding invitation. The blind-impressed, topographic background makes this invitation unforgettable.
